Week Update - Nov. 27 - Dec. 1

PAL Presents… Wilhauk Beef Jerky Fundraiser

Just in time for the holidays! Wilhauk Beef Jerky Fundraising order forms will be going home with your kids this week, so keep an eye on their backpacks! 

Extra order forms will be available in the office if needed. Completed order forms will be collected in the office and all payments should be made via email money transfer (EMT) to HighParkSchoolPAL@gmail.com 

There will be additional items from local business, Cinnamon Princess, added to the fundraiser this time around so be sure to check them out. 

Order deadline will be Friday, December 8th and pick up will be the following weekend: 

• Friday, December 15th from 9am-6pm
• Saturday, December 16th from 10am-5pm
• Sunday, December 17th from 10am-3pm

Ski Club

We are pleased to be able to offer ski club again this year as an optional activity for students in grades 3-9. If you are interested in having your child participating, and/or in volunteering as a supervisor, please fill out this form and review this information letter by December 6. A consent form and information package will be sent home to families of students who have completed the form above. Ski club fees will be added for students signed up this coming week.

Hot Lunch

Hot Lunch is offered to students by the Parent Advisory League from October to May.  More information can be found on our High Park school website under the Lunch Program. You must register each school year in order to place an order. The code is always HPHL. The deadline to order hot lunches for December is November 25.

Sun Run Fundraisers

Caramels:The Sun Run team is starting their fundraising this week and will be selling caramels for $10 per bag. Orders can be placed through a Sun Runner or by returning the order form that will be sent home. Orders are due by Friday, December 1 and can be picked up at the office between December 18 and 21.

Hot Dog Hot Lunch: As well, the Sun Run team will be providing a hot dog lunch on Monday, December 18 as part of their fundraising efforts. Ordering must be done through the hot lunch website.

Concessions: A concession will also be offered this Monday, November 27. Concessions will continue operating at lunch on the following dates and items:

Christmas Hampers

It is that time of year again and in the spirit of giving, High Park School will once again be participating in the Kinsmen Christmas Hampers to provide for our less fortunate in the Stony Plain and Parkland County area.  For over 30 years our school community has helped to provide food and gifts and other much needed necessities to over 1000 people.  

This year we will be collecting non-perishable food items here at the school as well as new unwrapped gifts and gift cards.  The gift cards can be for gifts from any local retailer or can be from local grocery stores to help support the Parkland Food Bank who is coordinating the food for the hampers.  

As in previous years, we will once again be selling candy cane messages here at the school for 50 cents each with all proceeds going to the hampers. The messages provide the students with an opportunity to send a treat to their friends or classmates to let them know they are thinking of them this Christmas Season.  

Our campaign starts on the 20th of November and runs through to the 8th of December.
