Week of Nov. 20-24
School Clothing Orders
Our school has opened up an online store through local company BRANDZ in Stony Plain. Orders must be placed online through the store by Nov. 22. Orders will arrive at the school before Christmas break. We will have another ordering opportunity in the spring.
Ski Club
We are pleased to be able to offer ski club again this year as an optional activity for students in grades 3-9. If you are interested in having your child participating, and/or in volunteering as a supervisor, please fill out this form and review this information letter by December 6. A consent form and information package will be sent home to families of students who have completed the form above.
High Park Music Monthly
Check out this amazing newsletter from Ms. Boison’s Music department with monthly updates about our music program at High Park! It really is worth a look!
Hot Chocolate for a good cause!
Some of our grade four students are raising money for the animal shelter as a project. They are offering a small cup of hot chocolate for $0.50 at lunch on Friday, November 24 for anyone who would like to purchase one. All proceeds will go to the animal shelter.
Christmas Hampers
We will again be accepting donations at the school for the Kinsmen Christmas Hampers this year. Please watch for details coming out after Fall Break.
Visitors at School
For safety reasons, High Park School is a closed campus. All visitors and guests must report to the office, and all communications and deliveries to students should also go through our office. If you are bringing something to your child, please ensure you come to the office and we will get the item where it needs to go. Unscheduled classroom visits can be disruptive to learning activities and school routines, so we parents and guests not to proceed to classes unless approved to do so by office staff.
School Fees
All field trip feeds for pre-planned field trips have now been posted to Parent Portal. Statements have been emailed out to parents. Please login to your Parent Portal to pay fees online.
Hot Lunch
Hot Lunch is offered to students by the Parent Advisory League from October to May. More information can be found on our High Park school website under the Lunch Program. You must register each school year in order to place an order. The code is always HPHL. The deadline to order hot lunches for December is November 25.
Utensils for Lunches and Snack/Breakfast Program
We will no longer be supplying cutlery to students as it comes at a significant cost and we are also trying to reduce waste. Please ensure your child has a set of utensils in their lunch each day.
Outdoor Footwear
It’s that time of year - please make sure your child has an alternate pair of shoes to change into from outside to keep our floors clean and dry. Appropriate footwear is also required in the gym.
