Hello HPS Families! Here is your weekly update for the week of Feb. 27.
2023-24 School Year Registration
Registration is now open for the upcoming school year on the Parkland School Division website. Registration closes on Mar. 24.
Lost and Found
Our bins are full to bursting once again! If you are missing any of your child’s items, please stop by the school this week and take a look through our Lost and Found tables and bins. Any items not claimed by Mar. 3 will be donated to local charities.
High Park/Muir Lake Attendance Area Change Information
In the upcoming school year, PSD will see an attendance area change that includes the following:
The rural area north of Highway 16 currently designated to High Park School be re-designated to the Muir Lake School attendance boundary, effective the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year. Further, that any current, affected students who will be in Grades 7-9 at High Park School in the 2023-2024 school year be permitted to remain at High Park School (legacy) until they complete Grade 9, and that their families are not assigned school-of-choice fees for those students who legacy and require transportation to High Park School. For our students transitioning to a new school, Muir Lake School and High Park School will be facilitating school tours for those students living in the affected attendance areas during the morning of March 1, 2023. Field trip/consent forms were sent out to affected families we are aware of by email. If you did not receive this information but are affected by the attendance area change, please contact our office as soon as possible.
On the same evening of the student school tours, all affected families are welcome to an Open House at Muir Lake School for a chance to meet staff and learn more about the potential new school. Please contact our office for more information.

Little Caesar’s Fundraiser Details

LITTLE CAESARS PIZZA KITS FUNDRAISER!
Back by popular demand we are kicking off a Little Caesars Fundraiser!
We will be taking online orders only.
FAMILIES WHO SELL 5 OR MORE KITS WILL BE ENTERED INTO A DRAW FOR 1 OF 4 ASSORTED PIZZA OR COOKIE KITS!!
How to Order Your Pizza Kits: Go to www.pizzakit.ca (Make sure you are on the Canadian website.) Click on “products” then “shop”. Provide our Fundraiser ID# 422041 and place your order. Please enter your student’s name – required when checking out your purchase. You can also take orders and accept cash from friends and family and enter one large bulk order under your credit card to pick up on our delivery day!
When: Open Now! Online ordering is open until Mar. 5.
Sun., March 5: Online ordering closes at midnight.
Thurs., March 23: Pickup at the school (see below for details).
Where: Pickup will be here at school. There will be tables set up outside the Grade 4-9 doors from 3:30-5:30pm.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for orders that are not picked up at this time and orders cannot be held. Please ensure you have arranged to pick up or have someone pick up on your behalf that day.

A portion of these sales is directed back into our athletics and extracurricular programs here at the school.
School Fees
High Park Student Fee Statements for the 2022-2023 school year have been emailed to families. Please remit payment as soon as possible through the online PowerSchool Parent Portal. You can also pay by cash or cheque, payable to Parkland School Division, to the School office. Please include your child’s name with the payment. As always, should you require assistance logging into your Powerschool Parent Portal account or have any questions, please contact our office at 780-963-2222 or via email at highpark@psd.ca. We thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.

Hot Lunches
If your child will be absent and you’d like to pick up their lunch or send it to another child, please call or email the office at 780-963-2222 or highpark@psd.ca no later than 10:00 am the day of hot lunch. Please note that refunds are not available. The deadline to order hot lunches for the upcoming month is the 25th of the current month. The link to order is https://hpspal.hotlunches.net/admin/ and the code to register is always HPHL.
