Cross Country Run @ High Park School
This Thursday, High Park School is hosting the PSD Cross Country race. Please be aware that parking and traffic will be extra busy on this day. If any parents are able to assist with volunteer stations for this event, please contact Mrs. Opryshko at jodi.opryshko@psd.ca.
Lifetouch School Photos
Part of our shipment has arrived, so some students will be coming home with photo proofs today and the rest of the shipment will arrive next week. If your child did not receive their photos today, please don’t panic and wait until the second shipment arrives.
Scholastic Book Fair
This week the Book Fair is open in our library. We will be open for shopping after school on Wednesday till 4:30. Proceeds go towards our library book fund and resources for our school!
PAL Presents… Halloween Hoopla
On Oct. 27 PAL is hosting Halloween Hoopla at the school gym. Please stay tuned for details. In the meantime, if you are able to volunteer to assist with this event, including setting up a Haunted House, please contact highparkschoolpal@gmail.com. Thanks in advance for your support!
PAL Casino Fundraiser
PAL says… We need volunteers for our upcoming casino fundraiser! The single biggest monetary impact you can make on our school is volunteering for this event. We make $18-$20,000 for the school during this 2-day event! Volunteer with your significant other and make it a date night! Dates are December 17th and 18th and shifts are 11am-7pm, 6:30pm-2:30am, or 11pm-2:30am - both days. We still need to fill 19 spots. If you have any questions or you can help, please send an email to highparkschoolpal@gmail.com.
Breakfast Program
We offer a daily breakfast program to all students from 8:15 to 8:30am. The menu varies weekly and includes toast with jam or Cheez-Wiz, Cheese, Fruit, Cereal with Milk, Applesauce, Granola Bars, Yogurt and Granola.
School Council and Parent Advisory League Meetings
Our Annual General Meetings (elections) will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, either in-person at the school or online at the following links:

Visitors at School
For safety reasons, High Park School is a closed campus. All visitors and guests must report to the office, and all communications and deliveries to students should also go through our office. If you are bringing something to your child, please ensure you come to the office and we will get the item where it needs to go. Unscheduled classroom visits can be disruptive to learning activities and school routines, so we ask for your cooperation in this matter.
School Fees
School fees will be posted to Parent Portal at the beginning of October. Statements will go out to parents by email when they are ready to be paid.
Hot Lunch
Hot Lunch is offered to students by the Parent Advisory League from October to May. More information can be found on our High Park school website under the Lunch Program. You must register each school year in order to place an order. The code is always HPHL. The deadline to order hot lunches for November is October 25.
Utensils for Lunches and Snack/Breakfast Program
We will no longer be supplying cutlery to students as it is at a significant cost and we are also trying to reduce waste. Please ensure your child has a set of utensils in their lunch each day.
