HPS Apr 3 Weekly Update
Hello HPS Families! Here is your weekly update for the week of April 3-7.
High Park School Spirit Wear Online Shop
Want to show your High Park School Spirit with some cool gear? We will be placing an order for items at the end of April. Check out our selection in our display case outside the gym, and check with our office for sizing information. Order forms will be available after Easter and all orders must be received by our office no later than April 27.
Neon Day for Autism Awareness Day
On April 3rd, wear your brightest colours to show your support for Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day!
Social Media Presentations
On April 4 & 5, Constable Gord Marshall will be talking about social media and internet safety, risk-taking, and decision-making with presentations for grades 5-9 students. A presentation exclusively for Parents and Caregivers will be help at the school on April 13 at 6:30 pm.
CTF and Complementary (Options) Courses for Junior High
Our final term of complementary courses begins this week. Our staff is working hard to provide a range of options with engaging activities for students that will help set them up for success in High School CTS programs. Attendance during “options” time is important. Career and Technology Foundations (CTF), Fine Arts, and other complementary courses are a required part of the Grade 7-9 program of studies, and attendance is critical to student success, as well as the success of these programs. We ask that parents support the educational value of these programs, and our efforts to offer engaging options for students by NOT excusing your child(ren) from options classes, unless they must be away due to illness, appointments, or other excusable reasons.
Little Caesar’s Fundraiser Pickup
Orders will be available for pick up at the school on Thursday, April 6 from 3:30-5:30pm.
We should be in the area outside the grade 4-9 doors but location at the school is subject to change. If you cannot pick up your order at this time, please make sure to make arrangements for someone else to pick up for you as we have no storage available at the school for unclaimed items.
PAL Presents… Spring Fling Family Dance
Spring Fling is back on April 21st in the High Park gym. Our organizers are looking for volunteers to help with shifts. If you are able to help out with this event, please contact our organizers at highpark.scchair@partner.psd.ca.
