If you haven't already heard, our fire alarm was tripped by a mechanical error today, during lunch. We did have to evacuate the building, and follow the instructions of the fire department who responded as to when we were allowed to reenter the building.
Our staff and students did an amazing job evacuating safely and quickly, and were held in the gym as soon as the fire department could clear the space. Department members remained on scene to check on cold students, and to complete a thorough investigation.
We are all back in classes, and our afternoon is continuing normally. For future reference and in case of a real emergency, please familiarize yourself with Division safety procedures here.
