Terry Fox Run
High Park School is proud to be participating in the Terry Fox School Run on September 22. Please join us and continue the legacy of one of our greatest Canadian heroes. Donate at: https://schools.terryfox.ca/HighPark. Please ensure you sign and return your child’s walking/running informed consent field trip form so that they can participate in this school-wide event on Sep. 22. Thank you for joining us in the fight against cancer!
School Fees
School fees will be posted to Parent Portal at the beginning of October. Statements will go out to parents by email when they are ready to be paid.
Orange Shirt Day Shirt Sales
The grade 4 class will be creating and selling Orange Shirts for Orange Shirt Day leading up to the 21st. If you would like an orange shirt, we will make one using the design shown below. Shirts cost $20, and we have them in Medium, Large, and XL. We can be sure to fill the first 50 orders, and will let you know if we can accommodate orders beyond that. Please email orders as soon as possible to Mr. Wyatt at jason.wyatt@psd.ca if you want to purchase one.
Cross Country Running
Cross country running season is here! Please click the link below for more information regarding race times, dates, and how to register. After you register you will receive information through the email you signed up with, to join the cross country remind app.

New Bus Status App
If you haven’t already, please ensure you download the new bus status app to avoid missing notifications.
Hot Lunch
Hot Lunch is offered to students by the Parent Advisory League from October to May. More information can be found on our High Park school website under the Lunch Program. You must register each school year in order to place an order. The code is always HPHL. The deadline to order hot lunches for October is September 25.
Attendance
A reminder that if your child must be absent from school for any reason, it is important to notify our office by phone or email. Regular attendance is very important to your child’s success at school, and we do miss our students when they are away. If we do not know of the reason for your child’s absence, our office will make a call home to inquire for safety and reporting reasons. We appreciate your prompt communication of student absences with our office staff.

Utensils for Lunches and Snack/Breakfast Program
We will no longer be supplying cutlery to students as it is at a significant cost and we are also trying to reduce waste. Please ensure your child has a set of utensils in their lunch each day.
Breakfast Program
Thanks to the help of our volunteers and staff, and with support from President’s Choice Children’s Charity and the Breakfast Club of Canada, we are off and running with our daily breakfast program, open to all students until 8:40 am.
