HPS Jun 5 Weekly Update
Hello HPS Families!

Please note our Elementary Fun Day planned for the afternoon on June 23rd - we are seeking several parent volunteers to run stations and activities that day. Please fill out this form if you are interested in volunteering and someone will be in touch with you shortly.
Wheelchair Basketball
We are very excited to be hosting the Alberta Northern Lights Wheelchair Basketball Societies Hi Lights Program. We are hosting this program at High Park School the week of June 5-9. All students will have the opportunity to explore movements in the wheelchairs as well as learn the game of wheelchair basketball. The students will be split into groups and guided through different games and stations. They will be shown proper technique and have the opportunity to practice different movements through stations in PE class. This program meets a number of the Physical Education and Wellness outcomes in our program of studies across all grade levels. The cost of this program is covered by the cultural fees that were charged to your Powerschool Account at the beginning of the school year.
Elementary Field Day/Fun Day
In lieu of our track and field day that was cancelled last month, we are planning a fun afternoon for our elementary classes on the afternoon of June 23rd. We are looking for some parent volunteers to help us with setting up and running event stations that day. We are also looking for 3-4 parents to assist with cooking hot dogs. If you are able to help us out that day, please complete this form and someone will contact you shortly!
Junior High Exam Letters
Letters will be going home this week with the exam schedule and details for students in grades 7-9. If you wish for your child to sign out and go home after their exam(s), you will need to return this form to our office no later than June 16.
PAL Presents - Wilhauk Fathers’ Day Fundraiser
Forms for this fundraiser have gone out to classes. All orders are due back in by June 8th. Thanks for supporting our fundraising committee!
Write On Stationery and School Supply Lists
It's that time of year to consider next year's school supplies. High Park has been working with Write On Stationery for many years. This is not a fundraiser and so they are able to pass on the best available price on all supplies. If you would rather shop on your own, simply visit the HPS or Write On website for the Grade Lists.
School Fees
All school fees are now past due and statements were emailed last week. Please login to Parent Portal to complete payment for this year’s fees. You can also make payment to the school office by cash, cheque or credit card. If you are unable to make payment for school fees due to financial constraints, please contact our office as soon as possible to make alternate arrangements.
Hot Lunch
If your child will be absent and you’d like to pick up their lunch or send it to another child, please call or email the office at 780-963-2222 or highpark@psd.ca no later than 10:00 am the day of hot lunch. Please note that refunds are not available. The deadline to order hot lunches for the upcoming month is the 25th of the current month. The link to order is https://hpspal.hotlunches.net/admin/ and the code to register is always HPHL.
